I looked forward to Tuesdays like most people in these parts looked forward to Christmas. Even before the sun had risen, I had, eyes groggily searching out of the makeshift window pane. The Dark Side of the Seasons The horizon turned to watercolour rot as bird flew in alphabet letters above our heads. They were headed south with the sun, And they'd come back when it warmed up- If it ever warmed up here again. The hills faded from green to red to empty as the Dark Side of the Seasons sucked the color from the sky. I was afraid I'd eat your brains

I used to be a really avid tarot card reader, way back when. And since I spent 20 bucks on a reading the other day, I really wanna take it up again. But the more important part of this is that I have an idea. I'd love to write a short piece of flash fiction and/or a poem for each of my cards in one of the decks (I have yet to pick the deck- they're both so different!!!!) and put it all together and stuff. Only, I dunno if I should just do the major arcana cards (The Fool through The World) or add on the minor arcana, with all of the suits, (Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles) or with all of the cards all together (aces through kings in eac

Well, Story-a-Day did not happen. Mainly because I'm a LAZY ASSHAT. But that's okay. I got myself a summer writing internship with the Midwest Writing Center. (It's called YEW. My friend !angel-undercover-x (https://www.deviantart.com/angel-undercover-x) has done it for a few years, and bullied me into it. But I get paid, and get my ass kicked in to gear. So no complaints.) I'll be published in a little literary magazine called the Atlas, but everything that doesn't make it into there will most definitely be posted up here, or on my Wordpress (which I so often neglect). So, I'm taking the challenge presented at http://storyaday.org/ and I'm planning on writing a story every day in the month of May! (Actually, just week days, but that's still a lot of story.) Some I'll be posting here, others I won't, and some I won't be posting anywhere but my journal. They make me weep big, heavy man-tears. Might I congratulate you on a fine choice of song as well? As soon as I read that line, I did a little dance and shouted "AWAKE MY SOUL" at a volume and pitch that I'm not proud of.
